Who Are We?
dpc has three friendly congregations and welcomes people of all church backgrounds or none – our longing is for dpc to be a great place to come and consider for yourself what it would mean to join us in following Jesus
We are a community of ordinary people of the Inner West who, together, are discovering what it means to know Jesus and live his way through the transforming love of God, for His glory.
Our Vision:
To see God’s love transform people, growing the kingdom powerfully in number and faith throughout the inner west, filling churches with people eager to understand and apply the gospel.
Our Values:
The Gospel
The ‘Gospel’ is the good news that through the death and resurrection of Jesus, God has redeemed and renewed the whole world. When we believe and rely on what Jesus has done for us, we are called to be part of God’s purpose by living lives of love and grace.
Transforming Love
God is taking sinful people and transforming them by his love, creating a radically new identity, liberating us from simply living for ourselves, to living for His eternal purpose.
Community
The Gospel creates a new community where we can know God and His love, and serve each other as we learn to live His way. Our church community gives us as an imperfect taste of His coming kingdom.
Mission
We are in an exciting mission field and are committed to establishing new churches throughout the Inner West. We know we can’t win the Inner West for Christ on our own and will actively partner with others to achieve this.
